LOCKDOWN

ABOUT US

defense first. positionless basketball.

We TEACH all skills to all players, with the goal of developing versatile, Dynamic basketball players that can compete at the highest levels of AAU, the NCAA AND beyond. In our system, players must be able to shoot efficiently, dribble effectively, make solid passes, and guard multiple positions. Our well-rounded approach to development gives players an advantage.

Welcome to Lockdown

In 2010, I founded ATX Lockdown Basketball to make a difference. It was clear that college coaches weren't actively recruiting central Texas. Our goal was to help bring more awareness to the great basketball being played in this area, and to give more kids an opportunity to earn a scholarship and pursue their dream of playing basketball at the next level.

Over ten years later, ATX Lockdown Basketball is an established, winnning organization, built on an innovative approach to player development and free-flowing style of play. We also have a track record for student-athletes graduating and attending college, with many receiving scholarships to play at the DI, DII and DIII levels.

FAQ

  • What age levels do you coach?

We currently work with student-athletes grades 7th-11th. At an early age, we teach basketball fundamentals and the foundation of our offensive and defensive systems. From 9th-11th, we strengthen those teachings and work to develop  the skills, competitive spirit and basketball IQ of each player.

STYLE OF PLAY

Deffenisve intensity. Offensive versatility.

Our play has been described as fun, fast and intense. We beleive great defense leads to even better offense. we expect our players to be vesrsatile, play with a big motor, and be a highly competitive team player. kids must have the ability to play multiple offensive and defensive positions to have success and fit our style of play.

tHE NEXT LEVEL

COMPETE, SET GOALS AND ACHIEVE RESULTS.

we prepare our kids to showcase their talents in front of college coaches at major events. our staff challenges our kids to set individual and team goals. competing and working hard to realize those goals becomes the foundation for success at the next level.

"After successfully navigating the challenges and pitfalls of recruiting with my son, resulting in our club's first DI scholarship, I was even more energized to help kids achieve their potential and find success at the next level. This is our focus."
